Mastar Corporation Sdn. Bhd. or MCSB, has commenced operations in 1983, engaging in minor repairs and maintenance for small projects acquired from Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR), Sarawak, as it possessed a Class F licence from JKR at that time. In 1994, MCSB started operating in the shipping industry, serving as owners and charterers' agents for vessels arriving at Bintulu Port on behalf of Petronas Tankers Sdn. Bhd. 4 years later, in 1998, MCSB entered the marine supplies sector, providing ships docking at Bintulu with spare parts, dry provisions, and industrial gases. MCSB also managed the repairs and maintenance of the ships' equipment as needed. In light of the swift economic advancement occurring in Bintulu's oil and gas sector, MCSB applied for and obtained a Public Bonded Warehouse License in 1998. MCSB obtained a lease of land from Bintulu Port Authority to construct a public bonded warehouse in the port area under this license.
MCSB, speacializes in shipping, forwarding, handling, transportation, warehousing and marine supplies business for the past 26 years as in year 2024. MCSB possesses the financial capacity to execute these business activities from MISC to guarantee seamless and effective operations.
MCSB private warehouse is use to Offer storage for clients' items, both bonded and unbonded, as well as for project cargo, machinery, and equipment. This warehouse is presently utilised for the storage of items in transit for ships, as well as for the receipt, storage, and distribution of chemicals and paints for LNG vessels arriving from Miri and Singapore.
In the warehouse, all workers are required to wear full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to abide the safety management that required. The PPE mentioned are such as safety helmet, coverall (fire retardant), hand gloves, eye protection and safety shoes. The warehouse is used to store all the marine supplies such as gaseous tanks, medicine, coveralls, safety boots, safety hats, heavy duty machine such as forklift. The warehouse also used for marine disposal purposes. This is why a propriate attire is very crucial as the warehouse is full of hazard and chemical which can harm one’s safety and health if the individual being careless or disobeyed the warehouse’s regulation.
